unshatterable blue

rpm Semi-ambient, synth-saturated, clipped with field recordings, eyeballing the boundary between sound and music. I made this! Favorite track: Unshattered, unshatterable blue.

about

The title is taken from Stanley Kunitz "The Mound Builders" (1971): "... a sky of unshattered, unshatterable blue ... ".

I found a sky of that quality when I moved to the San Francisco Bay — a peerless, depthless expanse of electric blue that my eyes couldn't resolve as being wholly natural.

Many of these tracks owe much of their character to the novel abilities of the Animoog Synthesizer, a voice that features prominently throughout. A Nova Drone also makes select appearances.
